Description:
We’re all storytellers, and we live in a world of stories. “The Art of Stories” looks at tales of the Met, backstories of the works of art, narratives set in the museum, and the origin of stories themselves, seen through the perspective of works of art. From myths to fairy tales to epic fantasy, the tour will transport participants to a cave full of treasure and heroes on daring quests, a sword in a stone, and a girl who loses her shoe. We’ll see how stories can take us to other worlds, shift our viewpoint of the world we’re in….and sometimes literally save someone’s life.
