In the year that marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Ary dos Santos, we remember and celebrate not the politician, but one of the greatest lyricists Portugal has ever had in a way never seen before. Let's imagine that Ary dos Santos was still alive today - and with access to social media. The rest we can only imagine. A party.

It is this Ary that interests us. The person. The man. For it was from this man that one of Portugal's best contemporary poets was born. Get ready for a bold show that follows the life of Ary dos Santos, his frustrations, betrayals, inhibitions and passions, which uncovers little-known facts about him that shaped and clouded him. It's all there in his lyrics. Neither talent nor an immense gift could fill the sadness and deep loneliness that dwelled within him. And it was this solitude that put an end to this restless soul. Three points of view in order to portray one man - and one point of view. The Blood of Words represents Ary's gift of the word, which puts his finger in the wound like a weapon. But where we also find our true soul. Our restlessness. As long as human beings are against injustice, there will always be an Ary. An Ary who is all of us. And that, together, we Cantares.
