Celebrate Valentine's Day at The National Centre for Early Music, where a string quartet brings the most romantic music of all time to life by the glow of candlelight. An intimate evening in York, made for sharing with someone you love.
This concert experience is a tribute. It is not associated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the artist, their heirs or their official representatives.
On the day How it works
Arrive early
Doors open 45 minutes before the concert. They close 5 minutes before it starts. Late entry is not permitted once the concert has started.
Find your seat
Seats are not numbered: they are taken on a first-come, first-served basis within the zone on your ticket.
Let the music take over
Enjoy 60 minutes of live music by candlelight.

What are the different ticket types?
There are tiered tickets, which you can see on the seating map. Tickets are not allocated to individual seats but to zones, so arrive early to choose from the seats available in your zone.
Can I buy tickets at the venue?
Tickets are not sold at the venue. All tickets must be purchased through the Fever app or website (www.feverup.com) before you arrive.
Can I book a ticket for my carer?
Guests who need assistance throughout the experience can apply for one free pass for their personal assistant or support worker. The guest who needs assistance must have a valid ticket first; once you have bought it, contact us with proof of disability. Accepted documents include middle or higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility, a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) receipt, evidence of being severely sight impaired, or a CredAbility Access Card with the +1 category.
Is there an age requirement for the event?
All guests must be 8 years old or older. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Where can I find my ticket?
You will find your ticket in the “Tickets” section of the Fever app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Remember to sign in with the same method you used to buy. Your QR code is also in your purchase confirmation email.
Can I change my ticket?
Subject to availability, changes of date and/or time are permitted up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience. Please contact us indicating your ticket ID. Refunds are not allowed under any circumstances. For more information, see our T&Cs.
What is a Flexible Cancellation ticket?
A Flexible Cancellation ticket lets you request a refund or exchange your ticket if you decide not to attend the experience.
When can I return my Flexible Cancellation ticket?
Up to 48 hours before the experience starts. It becomes non-refundable once the ticket has been transferred.
What documents do I need to cancel my ticket?
No documentation is needed.
How long does a refund take and how will I receive it?
If you paid by credit card or PayPal, it can take 10 days or more to appear on your statement. If you paid with a voucher, you will receive a new voucher in the app.
Will I get a full refund?
Yes, except for the 10% Flexible Cancellation fee.
If I opt for an exchange, when will I receive the new ticket?
A voucher for the same value is issued immediately and can be used on the same experience.

How do I get to the venue?
By car, The National Centre for Early Music is about 40 minutes from Harrogate, 45 minutes from Leeds city centre, 1 hour from Hull and 30 minutes from junction 45 of the A1(M). There are several car parks nearby but space can be limited, so allow enough time to park and walk in. By public transport, the Piccadilly bus stop (bus 26) is a 5-minute walk from the venue, and the nearest train station, York, is a 23-minute walk.
Is there food served?
No food is allowed in the venue, but drinks can be purchased there.
Can I bring animals?
Animals are not allowed, except for service animals.
Does this venue have disability access?
This venue is wheelchair accessible.

Can I take photos or videos during the performance?
Photos and videos can only be taken during the final piece and without flash, as indicated by our musicians.
Can I use my phone during the performance?
Your phone must be on silent for the whole performance. Photos and videos can only be taken during the final piece and without flash, as indicated by our musicians.
Can I leave the concert room during the performance?
Out of respect for the musicians and the audience, you will not be able to leave your seat except in an emergency.
When should I arrive?
Doors open 45 minutes before the show and close 5 minutes before it starts, so arrive in good time to be assigned a seat within the zone you purchased. The concert begins on time and latecomers will not be admitted.
Can I sit together with friends?
Yes, if you arrive together and you all have tickets for the same zone. We recommend arriving in good time and we will do our best to seat you together.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to any other Fever account at no extra cost. Just tap “Transfer Tickets” on your ticket in the Fever app. For more help, contact us indicating your ticket ID.
Are the candles flammable?
For the safety of attendees, all candles are flameless.
Is there a dress code? What should I wear?
There is no dress code. We recommend dressing comfortably, in clothes suited to the season.
