Description
Ravel's Bolero is the most frequently performed work of classical music in the world, with a performance every 15 minutes. At the time of its creation, the composer had given the copyright to his gardener, without anticipating its success with the general public. This work is the archetypal ostinato. The melody is taken up in turn by the Orchestra's various instruments over a rhythmic percussion pattern. Also discover the motet Stabat Mater, a musical setting by Francis Poulenc in 1950 of the liturgical sequence Stabat Mater; as well as Nänie and Schicksalslied by Brahms.
