Description
This winter, Spotlight Chamber Concerts returns to the "beautifully restored church of St John’s Waterloo" (Observer). Founded in 2020 by clarinettist Anthony Friend in response to the pandemic, this small newcomer to London’s concert scene is now in its fifth edition and has a loyal following amongst artists and audiences. In this edition, pianist Emmanuel Despax performs Chopin’s incredible set of twenty-four Préludes along with the monumental Bach-Busoni Chaconne in D minor. His most recent album Après un rêve has been garnering critical acclaim, with The Times praising Despax’s "full-blooded power and melting tenderness".
