Synopsis
Shohoku playmaker Ryota Miyagi always plays intelligently and at lightning speed, evading his opponents while keeping his cool. Born and raised in Okinawa, Ryota had an older brother three years older. Following in the footsteps of the latter, a famous local player from an early age, Ryota also became hooked on basketball. In his second year of high school, Ryota plays on the Shohoku high school basketball team, alongside Sakuragi, Rukawa, Akagi and Mitsui, and takes part in the national inter-high school championship. Now they're about to take on the defending champions, the players from Sannoh Kogyo High School.
