Description
Teatro Eslava opens its doors to a key band in the history of Rock: The Sonics. This American band emerged in the sixties as a pioneer of garage rock, and their contributions served as the basis for the Seattle area's renowned music scene, which has survived to the present day. With a sound far louder and rawer than any of their contemporaries, they use wild arrangements of well-known songs, provocative lyrics, the usual use of screams and electric guitars distorted as much as possible. Their early lyrics were in line with the youth and teenage culture of the sixties, but also included themes of darker, satirical and provocative aspects such as strychnine (Strychnine), witches (The witch), psychopaths or Satan (He's waiting).
