Description (Brunch & Tour) Optional Mass Before
The program goes beyond simply “sit, eat, and leave.” The goal is to ensure a unique dining experience that doesn't end there; art and culture permeate the entire event. It begins with Mass at 11 AM on Sundays or 12 PM on Saturdays. After Mass, which is not mandatory but an invitation, everyone proceeds to the upper halls of the church to enjoy a brunch menu by Chef Gil Gondim, a catering specialist with strong Italian influences and comfort cuisine.(Elevator available for this area)
With over twenty gastronomic options, all you can eat. Included drinks: wine and sparkling wine, juice, and soda. Finally, guests immerse themselves in a guided walking tour of the entire Cathedral, accessing parts not generally open to the public, where they can explore the presbytery, the Crypt, the central nave, the tower, and the dome of one of the largest neo-Gothic temples in the world.(The complete tour has many stairs, 240 steps divided into 3 stops, so comfortable shoes are recommended, and high heels should be avoided.)
The tour takes approximately 2 hours, so by 4 or 5 PM, everything concludes.
Description (Concert & Dinner)
Everything begins with the guided tour at 5:30 PM. Start with a guided tour of the Cathedral's Dome. From 5 PM, we begin check-in, and at 5:30 PM, we start the guided tour. With luck, enjoy a beautiful sunset with a panoramic view of the heart of the city. Then, revisit the site's history through the Dutch bells installed in the 1960s. Back inside the church, we get an explanation of the Cathedral's history, architectural aspects, and curiosities. We also visit the Crypt and the altar. After that, we have a concert featuring classical, sacred, and contemporary pieces performed by the Luther King Choir, which, for over 53 years, has preserved the legacy of its great master, Maestro Martinho Lutero Galatti. And to end on a high note, the annexed halls of the Cathedral await you for a wonderful candlelit dinner, with drinks included (wine and sparkling wine). The event also embraces the Missão Belém project, offering a special dinner to the homeless with the same menu served at the dinner.
