About the Musicians

Orchestra: National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan

• The National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan is a highly professional community of musicians and one of the leading collectives of the republic, rightfully constituting the pride of the national musical culture. The repertoire of the orchestra includes almost all major works of Uzbek, Russian, and Western European classical music, and many modern composers trust the team to premiere performances of their compositions.

Conductor: Gianluca Marcianò

• Italian conductor Gianluca Marcianò has been increasingly in demand since his operatic debut with Croatian National Opera in 2007. Praised in the Sunday Times for his “unfailingly theatrical and idiomatic conducting”, Marcianò is the Principal Conductor of Orchestra ICO della Magna Grecia, Principal Guest Conductor of Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director of the Al Bustan Festival in Beirut, the founder and Artistic Director of the Festiva of Lerici Music, and the Artistic Director of Chelsea Opera Group.

Soloist: Nikita Mndoyants

• Winner of the prestigious Cleveland International Piano Competition 2016, pianist Nikita Mndoyants convinces with his elegance, his technical prowess and the transparency of his playing. Trained at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, he has performed under the direction of renowned conductors and traveled to some of the greatest stages in the world, such as Carnegie Hall, Tchaikovsky Hall, Salle Cortot and more. A recognized composer and orchestrator, Nikita Mndoyants likes to share his own compositions with the public of his recitals.
