The four sections of the exhibition
The exhibition is divided into 4 main sections: Personagem, História, Mundo, e Sala dos Desenhos (Character, Story, World, and Design Room). The first three chart the creative journey from idea to finished movie, exploring how stories develop and how believable imaginary worlds are created. The fourth section, The Design Room, enables visitors to create their own short film sequence.

1. Personagem (Character): Shows the evolution, from idea to fully animated on-screen personalities that captivate the audience's imagination, of DreamWorks Animation characters like Shrek, Wallace and Gromit, Po from Kung Fu Panda, and the Madagascar gang. This section contains over 80 carefully sculpted mockups (with the sculptors' preliminary models), original concept art and sketches, plus interviews with illustrators, animators, and production designers.
2. História (Story): It explores the story creation process, where storyboard artists, directors, screenwriters and producers spend countless hours coming up with ideas, designing scenes, developing plots and writing dialogue. The main focus of the section is the large digital storyboard where filmmaker Conrad Vernon presents, step-by-step, his proposal for the iconic “Gingerbread Man Interrogation” scene in Shrek.
3. Mundo (World): Highlights the distinct, believable and unique worlds created in each DreamWorks Animation movie. A special highlight is Dragons Flight, a unique immersive experience with a hair-raising 180-degree projection, created especially for this exhibition, where the public can 'fly' over Berk Island 'riding' on Toothless the dragon.
4. A Sala dos Desenhos (The Drawing Room) hosts the popular Animation Desk digital kiosks, where visitors get the chance to draw and create a short animation film sequence with technology and software developed by DreamWorks.
