Description
The Royal Palace was the residence of the Savoy family who reigned from 1861 until the establishment of the Republic in 1946. You will meet the guide at the entrance and from there you will visit the same places where the royal family once walked. You will relive the days of the kingdom by walking through the rooms where they lived: the magnificent throne hall, the room where King Savoy signed documents, and other incredible rooms such as the ballroom used for many parties and celebrations. The visit will end at the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, in full baroque style, built especially for the latter. Unfortunately, following a major fire, the Holy Shroud is no longer located in this magnificent place, which still deserves to be visited for its beauty and historical importance.
