Description
The great Aquarium of Paris is a world leader in the marine field. It is one of the oldest aquariums in the world (it was built in 1867!) and more than 13,000 creatures inhabit its depths. With mermaid shows, an underwater cinema and a shark tank full of these super-predators, here is an extraordinary way to add a marine dimension to your excursion in central Paris. Discover tanks containing aquatic organisms from distant tropical regions, but also from France. The first section of the aquarium contains carps, sturgeons and roaches swimming in a reconstitution of the Seine. The reconstitutions of the seas of Tahiti and New Caledonia abound with fish of all colours: angelfish, clownfish and triggerfish play their fins to slip between rocks and corals. The aquarium also has two large screens giving information about aquatic life, a special tank where children can touch fish and you will also be able to attend live fish feeding.
