Description
The great Aquarium de Paris is a global benchmark in the marine field. Built in 1867, it is one of the oldest aquariums in the world and is home to more than 13,000 creatures. With mermaid shows, an aquatic cinema and a shark tank full of these super-predators, this is an extraordinary way to add a marine dimension to your trip to central Paris. Discover basins containing aquatic organisms from far-off tropical regions, as well as from France. The first section of the aquarium contains carp, sturgeon and roach swimming in a recreation of the Seine. The reconstructions of the Tahitian and New Caledonian seas are teeming with fish of all colors: angelfish, clownfish and triggerfish play with their fins to thread their way among the rocks and coral. The aquarium also has two large screens that offer information about aquatic life, as well as a special touch pool where children can touch fish and you can also watch live fish feeding.
