Description
This audio-guided tour will allow you to discover all the details of the Gaudí Crypt and the Colnia Güell, a very pleasant visit that captivates with its charm and the tranquility of the surroundings. You will learn about the relationship between Gaudí and his patron, Eusebi Güell, through a completely outdoor tour of the Colonia Güell where modernist architecture and industrial history of Catalonia will transport you to the atmosphere of the nineteenth century. This tour ends in the Crypt, which was declared a World Heritage Site in 2005 and is one of Gaudí's best kept secrets. It is an atypical example of architecture built with materials of which the colors and textures are similar to the soil and vegetation. It is known as the architect's laboratory, where he applied and experimented with the different techniques that he would later use for the construction of his most famous work, the Sagrada Familia.
