Built in the 14th century on the initiative of the Council of One Hundred, it was the meeting place for Barcelona's merchants and traders, and quickly became the temple of the city's business community. Currently, elements of Catalan Gothic, Neoclassicism and Modernism are preserved, as a result of the reforms it has undergone in recent centuries. La Llotja stores hundreds of stories within its walls... a cultural jewel at your fingertips!
