Doors open before the concert and close shortly before it starts. Late entry is not permitted, so we recommend arriving early.

The concert was absoloutely brilliant! We loved every second and the setting was amazing. Thank you so much to the team for setting up the venue and organising this and for the talented musicians who made the concert outstanding. We will definitely be attending another concert soon.

The Sonnet for each season was shared to the audience with a sense of humour. I remember my mum used to read it as she was listening to Four Seasons.
About the venueHolywell Music Room
The Holywell Music Room, with access from Holywell Street, is said to be the oldest, purpose built music room in Europe, and hence England's first concert hall. It was designed by Thomas Camplin, former Vice- Principal of St Edmund Hall, and opened in July 1748. The interior has been restored to a near replica of the original and contains the only surviving Donaldson organ, built in 1790 by John Donaldson of Newcastle.
