The Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna is one of the largest and most important art museums in the world, opened in 1891. Together with the Natural History Museum, it is among the most significant historicist buildings of the Ringstrasse period. The Bassano Hall on the 2nd floor was long reserved only for works by the Venetian painting family Bassano.
