Designed by architect JH Wilson in the High Victorian style and constructed of Pyrmont sandstone, the Lower Town Hall is a significant example of 19th-century civic architecture. The high vaulted ceiling gives the room a sense of grandeur and space, and Its reinforced concrete columns are a striking feature of the room.
