The Saitama Arts Theater is a venue dedicated to promoting arts and culture by providing opportunities to experience outstanding performing arts and supporting the artistic activities of Saitama's residents, thereby contributing to a truly rich and fulfilling life for the people of the prefecture. In April 2022, dancer Ryohei Kondo was appointed as the new artistic director, succeeding the late Yukio Ninagawa. He is shaping the theater's new creative direction and programming. As a creative hub that boldly pioneers next-generation artistic expression and as a public square open to society and the community, the theater disseminates arts and culture from Saitama to the rest of Japan and the world.
