The Municipal Theater Ruth de Souza, named in 2021 in honor of the remarkable Brazilian actress, is located within the Parque Glória Maria. Aiming to establish itself as a reference center for black dramaturgy and for the theatrical production of black artists in the city of Rio de Janeiro, the space hosts a diverse program consisting of scenic performances, musical presentations, dramatized readings, seminars, and training activities.
