The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel was inaugurated on August 15, 1808, and is located on the Place du Carrousel in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, west of the Louvre Museum. The Arc de Triomphe is a listed historic monument. It celebrates the victory of Napoleon I's Grande Armée at Austerlitz.
