The Angel of Independence
The Angel of Independence is an iconic monument in the center of Mexico City. Built in 1910, it commemorates the centenary of the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence. It features a bronze statue of Nike, the goddess of Victory, and is a gathering place for celebrations and demonstrations.
