The Cathedral of St. Andrew
The Cathedral of St. Andrew, founded in 1860 by King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma, is deeply connected to Hawaiian royal history. Queen Liliʻuokalani, during her imprisonment after the illegal overthrow of the monarchy, found solace with the Cathedral's community. After her release in 1895, facing threats, she sought sanctuary there and joined the Episcopal Church in 1896. Her legacy as a vibrant member and beloved queen continues to inspire the Cathedral and its congregation today.
