The Maryland Theatre

The Maryland Theatre, built in 1915 and designed by architect Thomas Lamb, stands as a historic landmark in downtown Hagerstown’s Arts and Entertainment District. Its auditorium features two levels of seating accommodating 1,293 guests. After a 1974 fire damaged parts of the building, restoration completed in 2019 returned it to its original footprint, preserving the theater’s early 20th-century charm and architectural heritage.
