Victory Column
The Victory Column in Berlin is a national monument and a well-known symbol of Germany. The 69-meter-high column was built between 1864 and 1873 to commemorate the wars of unification. The golden bronze sculpture of Victoria at the top of the column is affectionately called "Goldelse" by Berliners. The viewing platform offers a breathtaking panoramic view over the Tiergarten and the city of Berlin.
