Description
An exhibition spanning centuries with 1,500 works of art: This is what awaits you with your admission ticket for the Gemäldegalerie Berlin. The paintings were collected in these rooms by the Prussian government from 1815. Whether you are interested in the Italian Baroque, the Golden Age of the Netherlands, lesser-known German Performers or simply beautiful paintings - you will find what you are looking for at the Gemäldegalerie Berlin. The concept of the building forms an important framework for viewing the works of art. Stroll from the central "Meditation Hall" to the 72 adjoining rooms and be impressed. View the brushstrokes of masters from different centuries, from medieval German paintings to Italian Baroque masterpieces. Caravaggio's "Amor amor amor" shows the winged child god happily triumphing over the deeds of men. Because love conquers all, even the good!
