About Pixote

Pixote, formed in São Paulo in 1993, stands as a legendary figure in Brazilian pagode and samba music with a career spanning nearly three decades. The trio—composed of Dodô, Tiola, and Thiaguinho—has solidified its place in Brazil’s musical landscape through memorable hits like "Insegurança," "Mande um Sinal," "Saudade de Nós," "Beijo Doce," and "Fã de Carteirinha." Their music, characterized by infectious rhythms and heartfelt lyrics, has captivated listeners nationwide and reached audiences internationally.

Over the years, Pixote has released a series of landmark albums. Their 15th anniversary live album (2007) commemorated the group’s enduring presence, while the 2014 studio album "Sem Moderação" showcased collaborations with esteemed acts such as Grupo Revelação and Raça Negra. Their "Fã de Carteirinha – Sunset" album, recorded in Guarujá on São Paulo’s southern coast, earned them a Gold Record, affirming their commercial success.

In response to the challenges of the pandemic, Pixote innovated with the 2020 *Arena* DVD, filmed in a drive-in setting at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque. This project blended ten new songs with reimagined classics, featuring guest appearances from Marcos & Belutti, Léo Santana, and Menos é Mais. The following year, their hit single "Vou ver te aviso" dominated major radio charts and digital playlists across Brazil, reinforcing Pixote’s reputation as influential torchbearers of pagode and samba. Their ongoing appeal highlights their ability to evolve while staying true to the vibrant spirit of Brazilian music.
