About Oomph!

Oomph! has firmly established itself as a pioneering force in the Neue Deutsche Härte movement since its inception in 1989. This German industrial metal trio, originally composed of founding members Dero Goi, Crap, and Flux, carved out a distinctive sound blending heavy guitar riffs, electronic elements, and powerful vocals. Their breakthrough came with the 2004 hit single "Augen Auf!", a track that remains a landmark in their career and continues to captivate fans globally.

Over more than three decades, Oomph! has consistently evolved, delivering hard-hitting albums that combine melody with socially conscious themes. Their 2019 album, "Ritual," marked a significant milestone by debuting at number one on the Official German Album Charts and introducing them to the roster of Napalm Records. This success demonstrated the band’s sustained relevance and commercial strength within the industrial metal scene.

In 2023, Oomph! embraced a new era with the release of their 14th studio album, "Richter und Henker" (Judge and Executioner). This record features a revamped lineup with new vocalist Der Schulz joining longtime members Crap and Flux, illustrating the band’s resilience and adaptability. Self-produced and packed with their signature industrial intensity, the album addresses political and social issues, notably through the poignant anti-war anthem "Nur Ein Mensch" ("Only a Human"). Collaborations with iconic figures like Joachim Witt on the track "Wut" ("Anger") highlight Oomph!’s ongoing influence and creative vitality in shaping German industrial metal.
