About Doce Encontro

Doce Encontro is a distinguished samba and pagode group originating from São Paulo, Brazil, formed in 2003. The ensemble features Eder Miguel as lead vocalist—also a skilled composer and producer, trained in vocal technique at the Universidade Livre de Música Tom Jobim. Tiago Alexandre plays the cavaquinho and contributes vocals; his compositions have been recorded by prominent artists like Sorriso Maroto and Exaltasamba. Tiago also holds a degree in guitar and music theory from Fundação das Artes. Percussionist Cauê Bueno, a graduate of Conservatório Souza Lima, brings expert pandeiro rhythms, while Thiagão plays the tantan and directs the bateria of the Mocidade Alegre samba school.

Over two decades, Doce Encontro has built a rich discography that includes the studio albums "Além dos Limites" (2004) and "Ascendente" (2007), the EP "Lua" (2016), and recent live albums such as "Pagode do Doce Ao Vivo" (2021) and "Alucinados Vol.01 - Ao Vivo" (2022). Their video releases, including the 2019 DVD "Não Se Mete," showcase dynamic collaborations with Brazilian pagode stars like Sorriso Maroto, Mumuzinho, and Turma do Pagode.

Doce Encontro’s original tracks—"Alucinado," "Brisa da Varanda," "Tô de Saco Cheio," and "Homem Perfeito"—have become beloved anthems within the genre. Combining technical mastery with heartfelt songwriting, Doce Encontro remains a vibrant and influential force in São Paulo’s samba and pagode scenes, continuing to captivate audiences with their distinctively authentic Brazilian sound.
