About The Chats

The Chats are a fiery pub-punk trio from Queensland, Australia, who emerged as a force in the punk scene while still in high school. Launching their career with a self-titled debut EP released just before graduation, they quickly followed up with their second EP, *Get This In Ya* (2017). Their breakthrough came with the viral success of the music video for "Smoko," which amassed millions of views on YouTube within days, bringing them international attention.

Known for their raw, no-frills sound and unapologetic, rebellious attitude, The Chats deliver high-energy live performances that have sold out venues across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe. Their straightforward, "shed-rock" style channels classic punk rock with a distinct Aussie charm, resonating deeply with a growing, loyal fanbase. Throughout their rise, they’ve shared stages with influential acts such as Australian punk veterans Cosmic Psychos and US rock giants Queens of the Stone Age, further cementing their place on the global punk map.

With a full-length debut album under their belt and relentless touring schedules, The Chats continue to push the boundaries of modern punk, combining infectious energy with a “zero fucks” attitude. Their momentum shows no signs of slowing, making them one of Australia’s most electrifying and enduring punk bands.
