About Two Door Cinema Club

Two Door Cinema Club, formed in 2007 by school friends Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday, and Kevin Baird from Bangor and Donaghadee in Northern Ireland, quickly established themselves as a defining force in indie pop music. Foregoing university to pursue their passion full-time, the trio crafted a distinctive sound that fuses jangly post-punk guitars with infectious electronic dance rhythms. Their breakthrough came with the debut EP *Four Words to Stand On* (2009), followed by the critically acclaimed debut album "Tourist History" (2010). Featuring hits like "Something Good Can Work" and "Undercover Martyn," the album topped the Irish independent charts, achieved platinum status, and won the prestigious Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year.

Building on this success, Two Door Cinema Club released "Beacon" (2012), produced by Jacknife Lee, which polished their indie dance-rock style and climbed to number two on UK charts, delivering singles such as "Sleep Alone" and "Sun." Embracing a more ’80s disco-inspired vibe, their 2016 album "Gameshow" highlighted sleek synth-pop elements, with standout tracks like "Are We Ready? (Wreck)" and appearances at major festivals including Glastonbury. The band continued evolving with "False Alarm" (2019) and the pandemic-reflective "Keep On Smiling" (2022), featuring upbeat singles like "Talk," "Satellite," and "Wonderful Life." Maintaining their signature blend of energetic synths and catchy guitar riffs, Two Door Cinema Club’s 2023 single "Sure Enough" set the stage for their highly anticipated 2024 North American tour, cementing their reputation as pioneers of indie dance-rock innovation.
