Pet Shop Boys, the iconic English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1981, comprise vocalist Neil Tennant and keyboardist Chris Lowe. Renowned for their sophisticated blend of electronic music and sharp social commentary, they first burst onto the scene with the international hit "West End Girls," which established their signature sound. Their debut album, *Please* (1986), followed by *Actually* (1987)—featuring standout tracks like "It's a Sin" and the celebrated duet with Dusty Springfield, "What Have I Done to Deserve This?"—cemented their place in pop music history.

Over the decades, Pet Shop Boys have evolved while maintaining their distinctive identity. Albums like *Introspective* (1988) and *Behaviour* (1990) showcased their range, balancing dancefloor anthems with reflective ballads.
