About Fresno

Fresno is a pioneering Brazilian rock band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, that has been a significant force in the country’s alternative music scene since their formation in 1999. Founded by vocalist Lucas Silveira, guitarist Gustavo Mantovani, bassist Leandro Martins, and drummer Pedro Moraes, Fresno quickly gained recognition for their deeply emotional lyrics and melodic sound, capturing the complexities of love, heartbreak, and healing. Their heartfelt storytelling, often intertwined with themes of vulnerability and resilience, has resonated strongly with a dedicated fanbase across Latin America.

Over more than two decades, Fresno has evolved by blending emo, punk, and alternative rock elements, continually refining their style while remaining true to their emotive roots. Key albums like "Ciano" (2007), "Revanche" (2009), and "Infinito" (2012) highlight their growth as artists, each record marked by introspective lyricism and compelling melodies. Hits such as "Alguém Que Te Faz Sorrir" showcase their ability to craft anthems that deeply connect with listeners.

Known for their dynamic live performances, Fresno has cemented their status as one of Brazil’s most enduring rock acts. Their commitment to innovation and emotional authenticity, along with numerous tours and collaborations, has secured their legacy as a vital and influential voice in contemporary Brazilian music.
