About Jeninho

Jeninho, born and raised in Goiânia, emerges as a defining force within Brazil’s contemporary music landscape through his pioneering blend known as Agrofunk—a vibrant fusion of sertanejo, funk, trap, and traditional Brazilian rhythms. As the son of respected producer Jenner Melo, Jeninho entered the music scene at just 17, quickly making waves across the Centro-Oeste region under his alternate moniker MC Peão. His early work, supported by high-profile production houses like Kondzilla, showcased his dynamic stage presence and authentic connection to Brazil’s urban and rural sounds.

Jeninho’s rise to national prominence was cemented with the breakout single "Chapeluda" (2024), followed by the 2025 hit "Maria Barretão," which became an anthem at the renowned Festa do Peão de Barretos. That momentum carried into his debut live DVD, *Abacaxi Pegou Preço – Ao Vivo em Goiânia* (2026), featuring the chart-topping "Peão Todo Tatuado" alongside Mariana Fagundes. This track dominated both Spotify Brazil and the Billboard Brazil Hot 100, exceeding 160 million streams, exemplifying Jeninho’s mass appeal.

Beyond his work as a celebrated performer, Jeninho is a prolific songwriter, contributing hits to artists such as Naiara Azevedo, Ferrugem, and Lauana Prado. Notably, he co-wrote John Amplificado’s Spotify Brazil #1 smash "Chega e Senta," reflecting his versatility and influence behind the scenes. Collaborations with major names like Gusttavo Lima, Israel & Rodolffo, and Luan Pereira further highlight Jeninho’s role as a vital catalyst in evolving Brazilian music, seamlessly blending sertanejo traditions with urban innovation.
