About Jão

Jão has rapidly risen to become one of Brazil’s most influential pop artists, known for his emotive songwriting and captivating stage presence. Born in Américo Brasiliense, a small town in the interior of São Paulo, he nurtured a dream of performing for massive audiences—a vision he has realized spectacularly over a career spanning just six years. His breakthrough came as the first solo artist to sell out three consecutive nights at São Paulo’s iconic Allianz Parque, a feat that cemented his status in the Brazilian music scene.

Jão’s discography reflects a continuous evolution, featuring acclaimed albums such as "Lobos" (2017), "Anti-Herói" (2018), and "Pirata" (2021). His fourth album, "Super" (2023), set new records by becoming the biggest album debut on Spotify Brazil, achieving over 8.4 million streams within the first 24 hours. Beyond recording, Jão’s passion for live performance shines through his dynamic concerts, highlighted by the highly successful "SuperTurnê" launched in 2024.

Internationally, Jão has expanded his reach by performing on major stages at festivals like Rock in Rio (both Brazil and Lisbon), Lollapalooza, and The Town festival. These appearances have helped solidify his reputation as a powerful live act and a defining voice in contemporary Brazilian pop music, continually connecting with audiences both at home and abroad.
