About Mabe Fratti

Mabe Fratti is a Guatemalan-born, Mexico City-based singer-songwriter, cellist, and composer whose music seamlessly blends elements of experimental pop, indie folk, ambient, and contemporary classical traditions. Renowned for her evocative vocals and innovative use of the cello, Fratti crafts hauntingly atmospheric soundscapes that combine looping cello arrangements with subtle electronic textures. Her introspective lyrics explore themes such as identity, memory, displacement, nature, and emotional transformation, delivered with poetic sensitivity and emotional depth.

Rising as a distinctive voice within contemporary Latin American music, Mabe Fratti gained critical acclaim with albums like *Pies Sobre la Tierra* (2021) and *Se Ve Desde Aquí* (2022). The latter, released through the Unheard of Hope label, highlights her ability to balance organic instrumentation with minimalist influences, earning praise for its delicate interplay between melody and rhythm. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with a diverse range of experimental musicians across Latin America and Europe, broadening her artistic reach and solidifying her reputation on the global underground music scene.

Mabe Fratti’s fearless genre experimentation and authentic approach to songwriting continue to captivate audiences, making her an influential and rising figure in both the indie and experimental music worlds. Her work invites listeners into immersive sonic experiences that resonate beyond traditional boundaries, positioning her as a compelling artist to watch in the evolving landscape of contemporary music.
