About Marina Yozora

Marina Yozora is a Tokyo-born, London-based singer-songwriter renowned for her ethereal blend of dream pop and shoegaze. Growing up as a Third Culture Kid across Tokyo, Houston, and Ho Chi Minh City, her cross-cultural experiences deeply inform her expansive, hazy soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from pop, indie, and alternative music spanning the 1980s to 2010s, Marina crafts immersive tracks where whisper-soft vocals intertwine with lush, reverb-drenched guitars, seamlessly merging dream pop, shoegaze, bedroom pop, and indie folk influences.

Her debut single, "Watermelon Pink Blue Skies" (2024), garnered swift acclaim, praised for its fluid arrangements and innovative instrumentation, earning airtime on KEXP’s Pacific Notions. Following this, "Daffodils" (2025) further solidified her presence, celebrated for its soulful harmonies and evocative visuals by outlets such as White Light White Heat and Shoegaze Blog. Marina has since captivated audiences with sold-out shows in both Tokyo and London, including standout performances at Manchester’s HYPER JAPAN Festival (2025) and Independent Venue Week (2026). She also supported Pink Breath of Heaven during their UK tour, expanding her reach within the alternative music scene.

In 2026, Marina released "Snow Heat," a poignant single exploring the fragile connections of memory through multiple sonic interpretations. Continually evolving, Marina Yozora remains a rising star, distinguished by her dreamy atmosphere and richly textured sound, making her a compelling force in contemporary shoegaze and dream pop music.
