About Minorcan

Minorcan is a dynamic indie rock project founded in 2010 by Ryan Anderson, who originally hails from the swampy coastal region of North Florida that inspired the band’s name. Before establishing Minorcan, Anderson built his musical foundation in the early 2000s by releasing solo work through Bi-Fi Records and Happy Happy Birthday To Me Records. Now based in Asheville, North Carolina, Minorcan’s sound is an organic fusion of indie rock, alt-pop, roots rock, and punk, delivered with a raw rock ’n’ roll spirit that resonates deeply with audiences.

Over the years, Minorcan has self-released three albums and numerous infectious singles, earning a devoted fanbase and critical praise for its intuitive, heartfelt songwriting. Known for electrifying, high-energy performances often likened to basement arena rock, Minorcan captures a vibrant, unfiltered energy that has only intensified as Anderson transitioned into a solo performing force. This formidable live presence informs the creative process behind the upcoming album, "Rock Alone," which promises to continue blending impassioned emotion with inventive musical flair.

With a career spanning over two decades, Minorcan remains a standout in the contemporary rock scene, offering music that pulses with sincerity and instinct while maintaining an unmistakable edge.
