About Regal Cheer

Regal Cheer is an indie-punk duo from Brighton, UK, celebrated for their energetic and catchy sound that deftly blends punk’s raw intensity with indie’s melodic charm. Drawing comparisons to bands like Joyce Manor and Prince Daddy & The Hyena, Regal Cheer infuses their music with infectious, anthemic hooks alongside a playful, irreverent attitude reminiscent of Jeff Rosenstock. This dynamic fusion results in fast-paced, vibrant tracks that balance spirited aggression with a fun-loving, unpretentious vibe.

Their latest album, "Quite Good" (2023), released through Ugly Twin Records, solidifies their place in the indie-punk scene by showcasing a lineup of concise, hook-filled songs that capture their self-described “short attention span” aesthetic. Critics, including those from Flood Magazine, have praised the album for its memorable melodies and spirited delivery, highlighting Regal Cheer’s knack for crafting tunes that stick long after the music stops.

With sharp songwriting and tight performances, Regal Cheer continues to carve out a distinctive niche, resonating with fans who crave authenticity coupled with charm. Their music thrives on a balance of spirited energy and relatable lyrics, making them one of the UK’s most exciting and refreshingly genuine acts in modern punk.
