About Lux Lisbon

Lux Lisbon is the lyrical pop-rock project led by singer-songwriter Stuart Rook, who skillfully blends timeless musical influences with contemporary storytelling. Since emerging with the debut album *Get Some Scars* (2019), Lux Lisbon has garnered critical acclaim and a growing fanbase, driven in part by strong support from BBC 6 Music. This momentum culminated in an independent sold-out show at London’s iconic Scala, a notable feat achieved without the backing of a major record label.

Drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, Bruce Springsteen, Florence Welch, and others, Lux Lisbon crafts songs that marry poetic lyrics with expansive, emotive soundscapes. Critics have praised the project for its intelligent songwriting and versatile style; Tom Robinson of BBC 6 Music described Lux Lisbon as “quickly becoming favourites here,” while NARC Magazine highlighted the compelling emotional diversity and lyrical depth of the work.

In 2020, Lux Lisbon continued to evolve with the release of the single "Hot Mess," the first in a series of new tracks that reaffirm Rook’s ability to create fresh, engaging pop-rock narratives. Combining classic rock sensibilities with modern themes, Lux Lisbon remains a compelling voice in the contemporary music scene, appealing to listeners who appreciate both authenticity and innovation.
