His Name is Dolores is a four-piece metal band from the North West of England, formed by longtime friends and collaborators Will Pascoe (vocals) and Connor Lawler (bass). The group solidified with guitarist Sam Franklin and drummer Andy Craig, creating a lineup that channels raw emotion and unfiltered intensity. Influenced heavily by the early deathcore and metalcore scenes of California—where Pascoe spent pivotal years—the band fuses these roots with modern hardcore and street metal to craft a sound that feels both nostalgic and aggressively fresh.

In 2024, His Name is Dolores released their debut EP *Cordycep*, a visceral collection that explores themes of frustration, mental turmoil, and social critique. Tracks such as "Step the Fuck Up," "Cordycep," and "Triggered" confront issues ranging from dealing with inauthentic people to wrestling with obsessive thoughts and society’s avoidance of painful truths. Pascoe’s lyrics are intensely personal, at times inspired by things he shouts in his sleep, blending rage with introspection.

After a string of sold-out hometown shows in early 2026, His Name is Dolores is poised to make a bigger impact with upcoming appearances at major festivals like Dark Reign and support slots for established acts such as Hacktivist.
