About Julio Posadas

Julio Posadas is a pioneering Spanish DJ and producer whose transformative career in electronic music began in 1987. Renowned as the creator of "makina music," a high-energy electronic style that surged in popularity across Catalonia and Spain during the early 1990s, Posadas helped define the genre with iconic tracks like "Pi," "La Kabra," and "Weke Weke." His extensive production work spans over 1,000 releases, including influential projects with groups such as Korpus, Kubik, and System 3, and collaborations with prominent DJs Ricardo F and Skudero.

In the early 2000s, Julio Posadas expanded his reach internationally, releasing music on respected labels like Fog Area, Kontor, and Edm Records. This period includes his key role in the platinum-selling *Dance Sessions* compilation (over 150,000 copies sold) and co-authoring the worldwide hit "ATB – 9pm (Till I Come)," which surpassed three million sales and secured his position as one of Spain’s top foreign rights earners in 2001. Between 2004 and 2008, he shifted focus towards techno, producing for labels such as Donkey Head Records and Intec Recordings, earning accolades from DJ One Magazine and Deejay Magazine as Spain’s best techno producer.

Posadas continues to make waves in the electronic music world with recent works like "Control Policial," noted as the most remixed track on YouTube, and his remix of Fan dl Kaox’s "Raya España." His 2012 releases—including *The Hum*, *Medicina*, the *Black & White EP* on Sunrise Records, and the commissioned Euro 2012 anthem "LA ROJA"—underscore his ongoing innovation and lasting influence on dance floors worldwide.
