About Cosmodelica

Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, professionally known as Cosmodelica, is a distinguished DJ, radio host, and music curator celebrated for her influential role in the global dance music community and vinyl revival. Emerging from New York City’s legendary Loft parties, where she was personally mentored by David Mancuso, Cosmodelica earned his trust and collaboration, co-producing the acclaimed *David Mancuso Presents The Loft* compilation series. She continues to honor Mancuso’s legacy by regularly hosting events at The Loft NYC and co-founding the Lucky Cloud Loft parties in London.

As a versatile producer and remixer, Cosmodelica has crafted innovative reworks for artists including Roisin Murphy, Chaka Khan, Fat Freddy’s Drop, A Certain Ratio, The Rapture, and Candi Staton. Her collaborative projects extend to working as DarkStarr Diskotek alongside Ashley Beedle and partnering with guitarist Gary Lucas under the Wild Rumpus banner.

Beyond her production work, Cosmodelica is the founder of Classic Album Sundays, a pioneering album listening event and platform dedicated to immersive music appreciation. Her radio shows on Worldwide FM—*Balearic Breakfast* and *Cosmodelica*—have earned distinction as some of London’s top broadcasts, recognized by Time Out. In 2019, her vast contributions to music and sound culture were formally acknowledged with a nomination to the DJ Mag North America Hall of Fame, cementing her status as a tastemaker and authority in the world of music.
