About Interpreti Veneziani

Founded in Venice in 1987, Interpreti Veneziani has become a distinguished ambassador of Italian Baroque music, captivating audiences around the world with their vibrant and authentic performances. Specializing primarily in the Italian High Baroque repertoire, the ensemble is renowned for its spirited interpretations of Vivaldi’s works, among others, blending historical accuracy with a lively Italian flair. Their signature concerts at Venice’s historic San Vidal Church attract approximately 60,000 visitors annually, drawing both locals and international tourists alike.

Over the decades, Interpreti Veneziani has built an impressive discography of more than 20 albums released through prominent international labels such as Rivoalto, Agora Musica, Newton Classics, and Naxos. Recent critically acclaimed collaborations with trumpeter Thomas Reiner include the albums "German Baroque Trumpet Concertos" (2022) and "Italian Baroque Trumpet Concertos" (2024), which showcase their continued dedication to exploring baroque masterpieces.

Beyond Venice, the ensemble maintains a strong global presence, touring extensively across North America, Japan, Latin America, and Europe, with notable performances at venues like Stockholm’s Royal Palace and St. Petersburg’s Kirov Theatre. Committed to preserving musical heritage, they also founded a musical instrument museum in Venice, further enriching the city’s cultural landscape. Endorsed by travel authorities such as Rick Steves, Interpreti Veneziani remains a vital force in bringing the grandeur of baroque music to contemporary audiences worldwide.
