About Johanna Warren

Johanna Warren is a dynamic singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer renowned for her introspective lyricism and psych folk soundscapes. She first emerged as a member of the Brooklyn-based band Sticklips, which released two albums before disbanding in 2012. After lending her vocal talents to Iron & Wine, Warren embarked on a solo career with her self-released debut album, "Fates" (2013), establishing a deeply personal and evocative musical voice.

Her sophomore effort, "nūmūn" (2015), released through Team Love Records, earned critical acclaim and cemented her status as a captivating rising artist. Warren continued to push creative boundaries with the ambitious twin albums "Gemini I" (2016) and "Gemini II" (2018). Each track on the first album corresponds to a companion piece on the second, exploring contrasting facets of identity in a compelling thematic dialogue.

Beyond her recordings, Johanna Warren innovated the Plant Medicine Tour, integrating community herbalists and farmers into her live performances to champion sustainability and natural healing. Her latest album, "Chaotic Good" (2023), marks her first fully self-produced project under Wax Nine/Carpark, showcasing her bold artistic evolution and a fearless new sonic palette developed across multiple U.S. studios.

Known for her relentless touring and nomadic lifestyle, Johanna Warren continues to create deeply transformative music that resonates broadly, blending emotional vulnerability with rich, textured sound.
