About Occult Hand Order

Formed in Lyon in 2018, Occult Hand Order is a heavy psychedelic trio that has carved a unique niche by blending doom, sludge, and stoner metal with cosmic, mystical, and ritualistic soundscapes. Their music is a captivating fusion of crushing riffs and ethereal harmonies, delivering an immersive experience that transports listeners through foggy, otherworldly atmospheres. Drawing influences from doom metal, post-rock, and esoteric themes, the band balances raw, intense heaviness with introspective, meditative passages, creating a sonic ritual that feels both transformative and hauntingly beautiful.

Occult Hand Order’s sound is marked by hypnotic vocal harmonies and hypnotic structures where massive, sludgy riffs intertwine seamlessly with expansive, cinematic moments. Their 2026 album, "Meaningless Monuments," released via Totem Cat Records, represents a darker, slower, and more atmospheric chapter in their evolution. The record delves into profound themes such as apocalypse, inner collapse, and the search for meaning amidst ruins, unfolding as a journey through inner devastation and cosmic transcendence.

By blending heavy psychedelia with mystical undertones, Occult Hand Order stands out as more than just a band—they create visceral musical journeys that explore what remains when everything falls apart, making them a compelling force within the modern heavy music landscape.
