About The Lemon Twigs

The Lemon Twigs are a captivating rock duo from Long Island, New York, formed by brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario. Raised in a musically rich environment—sons of power pop songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ronnie D’Addario—they cultivated a deep passion for '60s and '70s baroque pop icons like Harry Nilsson, Todd Rundgren, Wings, and The Zombies. This early influence shaped their theatrical and vibrant sound, blending power pop, glam, folk, and over-the-top performance elements.

Their musical journey began as teenagers with the cassette-only release "What We Know" (2015), which sparked industry attention and led to a deal with the indie label 4AD. The Lemon Twigs burst onto the scene with their critically praised debut album, "Do Hollywood" (2016), produced by Jonathan Rado of Foxygen. Their elaborate live shows and extensive touring, including dates alongside bands like Carseat Headrest, cemented their reputation. Their ambitious sophomore album, "Go to School" (2018), is a concept musical telling the story of a chimpanzee, featuring guest spots from Todd Rundgren, Jody Stephens, and even their parents.

Continuing their evolution, the brothers released "Songs for the General Public" (2020), which charted on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales. Transitioning to Captured Tracks, their 2023 album "Everything Harmony" demonstrated a mix of Simon & Garfunkel-inspired folk and glam rock influences. Their latest offering, "A Dream Is All We Know" (2024), features emotionally charged, string-laden compositions that highlight their ever-expanding multi-instrumental talents and eclectic artistry. The Lemon Twigs remain a unique and dynamic force in contemporary rock, merging nostalgic sounds with fresh, theatrical flair.
