About Cordovas

Cordovas is a Nashville-based Americana rock band celebrated for their soulful harmonies, poetic lyrics, and cosmic improvisations, often drawing comparisons to legendary acts like The Band, Grateful Dead, and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Emerging in the early 2010s, the group centers on the dynamic partnership between multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Joe Firstman and guitarist/vocalist Lucca Soria, whose arrival solidified the band’s creative vision. Firstman’s background includes a rich musical journey from major-label experiences to serving as bandleader on *Last Call With Carson Daly*, providing a foundation for Cordovas’ deeply rooted yet adventurous sound.

Cordovas crafts their music through a unique creative process split between a serene farm in Nashville and an inspiring artist community in Todos Santos, Mexico. This dual-environment approach nurtures their songs, allowing ideas to evolve organically before being refined into polished recordings. Their discography features notable releases on ATO Records such as *That Santa Fe Channel* (2018), *Destiny Hotel* (2020), and *The Rose of Aces*, showcasing their ability to blend tradition with innovation.

Looking ahead, Cordovas is set to release their fifth studio album, *Back to Life* (2026), on Yep Roc Records. Through decades of collaboration and artistic growth, they continue to embody a heartfelt musical friendship, delivering a fresh take on Americana rock that honors its roots while exploring new creative horizons.
