About Temudo

Temudo is the Portuguese electronic music producer and DJ João Rodrigues, who stepped into the techno spotlight in 2014 after honing his skills within the drum and bass scene. His distinctive sound marries the soulful roots of classic techno with a contemporary edge, characterized by meticulous sound design and a commanding low-end presence. With a background steeped in jazz, coupled with a degree in sound engineering and a master’s in music and technology, Temudo infuses his productions with a deep understanding of audio processing and compositional innovation.

Known for his dynamic three-deck DJ sets, Temudo has made a significant mark on the global techno circuit through releases on renowned labels such as Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, Mord, and Clergy. Notable tracks like "Tough To Say" and "The Beholder" from his EPs *Unnecessary* (2017) and *Not The End But a Change* (2018)—both released on Soma—showcase his skillful fusion of tradition and modernity. His collaboration with Danish producer Nørbak on the *I Will Guide Thy Hand* EP (2018) via Modularz further cemented his reputation for forward-thinking electronic music.

Beyond his own artistry, João Rodrigues is a co-founder of the Hayes collective and leads Tema Mastering Studio, underscoring his influence as both a creative and technical pillar within Portugal’s vibrant techno scene. Temudo continues to push boundaries, making him a key figure to watch in contemporary electronic music.
