About Porcelain Parrot

Porcelain Parrot is an indie band originating from Asheville, North Carolina, known for their innovative fusion of second-wave emo, shoegaze, and alternative country. This distinctive blend creates a richly textured soundscape that balances emotive lyricism with atmospheric instrumentation. Comprising dedicated Super Smash Bros. Melee enthusiasts, the group channels their passion for both music and gaming into deeply personal and authentic songwriting. Porcelain Parrot’s music often explores poignant themes such as grief and wanderlust, crafting melodic narratives that evoke introspection and emotional depth.

Their 2024 release, "Bygones," exemplifies this synthesis of styles and themes, reinforcing their position within the independent music scene. The album delivers thoughtful storytelling and invites listeners to reflect on life’s transient nature, loss, and the search for meaning beyond the immediate horizon. With a compelling, genre-defying approach, Porcelain Parrot has built a devoted following by weaving heartfelt emotion and reflective atmosphere into every track, distinguishing themselves as a fresh and resonant voice in contemporary indie music.
